Who operates this site
Choosense is operated by Rodrigo, its owner and editorial decision-maker. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@choosense.com.
Browsing
Choosense uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic audience and performance statistics. Optional Google Analytics loads only after you select “Allow Google Analytics.” The optional controls are available under “Privacy choices” in the footer; we do not show an automatic analytics prompt. Before that choice, we do not load the Google Analytics library. You can reject Google Analytics and keep using the entire site. We do not load advertising tags, third-party fonts or newsletter forms, and do not offer reader accounts.
The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting and security providers may process technical connection data, such as IP addresses, request details and security logs, to deliver and protect the service. Their processing and retention are governed by their applicable policies: OpenAI privacy policy and Cloudflare privacy policy.
When you email us
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. The editorial address uses Cloudflare Email Routing and delivers messages to a Gmail inbox operated by the owner. We use those messages to respond, handle corrections and manage the inquiry. See Google privacy policy for the mailbox provider.
We retain correspondence as needed to resolve the inquiry and keep relevant editorial or business records. You can ask us to access, correct or delete correspondence by emailing the editorial address. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or to document a correction. Provider security logs and backups follow the respective provider policies.
Links and sharing
Sharing opens your device sharing interface or email application only when you choose it. External source links lead to other organizations, whose privacy practices apply on their sites.
Basic audience and performance statistics
Cloudflare Web Analytics loads automatically on choosense.com, without a consent popup. It measures page visits, referring websites and page performance without analytics cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. Cloudflare says its RUM service discards incoming IP addresses at the edge rather than storing them in its analytics databases. Our loader skips this service when your browser sends Global Privacy Control. See Cloudflare’s measurement documentation. These basic statistics are separate from the optional Google Analytics choice below.
Optional Google Analytics
If you allow Google Analytics, Google processes page visits, approximate location, device/browser information, reading engagement and referral information to help us understand readership. We remove query strings and fragments from the page address supplied in our measurement configuration and reduce referral addresses to the originating website. For outbound clicks, our custom event records the destination domain, not the full link or your email message.
Google Analytics may set first-party _ga cookies, configured here with a maximum lifetime of 180 days. A local preference records your analytics choice for 180 days; it is not an advertising identifier. Google processes connection information when the service loads. See How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
We disable advertising personalization and Google Signals in our tag configuration. We do not send names, email addresses, form contents or reader account IDs as analytics event fields. The initial stream measures page views and scrolling; automated form, site-search, video, download and outbound-link capture are disabled.
Use “Privacy choices” at the bottom of any page to change your decision. Rejecting Google Analytics after acceptance stops Google measurement, clears accessible Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page to unload the library. Global Privacy Control, when available, keeps both measurement scripts off. Previously collected data is not automatically deleted by withdrawing consent. Contact us with privacy requests. Readers who reject Google Analytics are absent from Google reports; cookieless Cloudflare statistics are independent of that choice.
Search, device comparisons and setup planner
Search words, device filters, comparison selections, setup prices and checklist notes are processed on the page. Links from device profiles and comparisons can include public model identifiers to prefill the planner; they contain no entered prices or notes. These tools do not send your entries to our servers or analytics, or save them in browser storage. Entries may be lost when you leave or reload. If you export a comparison, you control the downloaded text file or copied notes. Editable setup plans are JSON files that you choose to download or reopen. Plan files are processed on your device, not uploaded to Choosense. They include your entered prices, notes and checklist, plus public catalog identifiers; keep or share those files at your discretion.
