Into the Radius 2 is listed for purchase on PS VR2 following an October 8, 2026 release. The US PlayStation Store currently shows $39.99 and one-player support. For buyers planning to explore with a friend, that last detail matters: the console edition’s cooperative mode is still described as a future update.
What PS VR2 players get now
The survival shooter requires a PS5, PlayStation VR2 and PS VR2 Sense controllers. The store lists sitting, standing and roomscale play, with offline play enabled. Its October 8 date replaces the September 24 date still visible in the original PlayStation Blog announcement.
In that August announcement, CM Immersive game director Aleksei Shulga described native 90fps performance, eye-tracked foveated rendering, headset and controller haptics, adaptive triggers and 3D Audio. These are the developer’s stated features; Choosense has not measured performance or tested the port.
Co-op is different on PlayStation and PC

CM Immersive’s PlayStation announcement promises a free two-player co-op update during Q4 2026. That is a release window, not an exact day. The sources reviewed here do not confirm that the update has shipped or establish cross-play between the PlayStation and PC editions.
On Steam, the current description advertises four-player sessions and says hosting becomes available after the tutorial. The PC requirements specify OpenXR and explicitly exclude HTC Vive Wands and Windows Mixed Reality devices. A headset supporting other PC VR games does not by itself establish compatibility with this one.
The practical buying decision
If you want the PS VR2 edition for its solo campaign, assess the product available now. If your main reason to buy is playing with someone else, wait for the co-op release notes and confirmed platform support. A planned feature should not carry the same weight as a feature already available in your edition.
