Escape from Planet Xylodon arrived on October 8, 2026. The US PlayStation Store lists the Walkabout Mini Golf add-on at $4.99 as of October 10, with PS VR2 and Sense controllers required. Online play on that edition requires PlayStation Plus.

A paid course alongside gameplay changes

Steam lists Xylodon as downloadable content requiring the base Walkabout Mini Golf VR game. Its setting follows a distress call from a research team on an alien world. The Steam page retrieved for this report displayed euros, so we are not presenting that listing as a US price check.

The developer lists 36 holes across Easy and Hard, plus collectible balls and a putter. We have not played it.

Mulligans and experimental controls

Mulligans let players undo a putt from the wrist display. Set the allowance in course options or the expanded scorecard. Agree on it before a group round.

Quest hand tracking is experimental. Enable it in both headset settings and the game’s Options tab, then follow the tutorial. Mighty Coconut warns of bugs; support on other platforms is not established here.

Check versions before organizing multiplayer

VR players need version 6.8 for multiplayer, according to the release notes. Check the installed version separately from the DLC you own.

Pocket Edition on iOS is a separate case. Mighty Coconut’s April notice ended cross-play with VR from May 7 while retaining multiplayer among iOS users. The company said that edition would receive no further updates. October’s release does not restore that cross-play connection.

Before buying for a group, confirm each person’s platform, game version and course access. Treat the new controls as an experiment to try, not a reason to assume everyone can leave their controllers behind.
