XREAL’s new 1 Pro+ is listed at $599 in its U.S. store, but the most important upgrade question is not just what the new glasses do. The company also promises 60fps REAL 3D conversion for the existing XREAL One, One Pro and 1S through a firmware update next month.
That promise appears in XREAL’s official-labeled community launch post checked October 15. In that context, next month means November 2026. It is a planned update—not a firmware release we have verified or installed—and the post gives no exact day or build number.
Check the size-specific shipping estimate
The U.S. product listing checked October 15 separates the two interpupillary-distance options. Size M, covering 57–66mm, is marked in stock. Size L, covering 66–75mm, says orders will ship within two weeks of purchase. Those are the seller’s estimates, not independently confirmed inventory or arrival dates.
The community announcement says units are in stock and ready to ship more generally. For a U.S. order, use the size-specific store information rather than assume both versions have the same dispatch window. Pick for fit first; an earlier shipping estimate does not make the other optical size appropriate.
What the new hardware offers
XREAL advertises 1,200-nit peak brightness, AI HDR and a redesigned nose pad with a broader contact area. Its product page also lists a 120Hz refresh rate and native 3DoF anchoring. These are manufacturer specifications and comfort claims, not results from Choosense testing.
The 60fps conversion figure and 120Hz display figure describe different things. One concerns processing content into spatial 3D; the other concerns display refresh. Neither, alone, establishes the frame rate of a particular game, conversion quality or the clarity you will experience through the lenses.
The page’s no-extra-accessories claim concerns REAL 3D conversion. It is not a blanket statement about every spatial feature: XREAL separately says 6DoF spatial anchoring requires the XREAL Eye accessory. Its U.S. store lists the 1 Pro+ and Eye bundle at $648 when checked.
What an existing owner should do
If 60fps conversion is your main reason to replace a working One, One Pro or 1S, the announced firmware plan gives you a concrete reason to wait for release notes and reports from the actual update. Do not treat the promise as already delivered, but do not assume the feature requires buying the new glasses either.
The promise names that conversion feature, not every advertised 1 Pro+ improvement. It does not establish that older models gain the new nose pad, peak-brightness specification or complete feature parity. An upgrade decision should separate the software you may receive from the hardware change you would pay for.
New buyers should verify their size, source-device connection, prescription needs and final order total. The store lists a prescription frame without lenses in the box, so $599 is not a verified prescription-ready price. Choosense has not tested fit, image quality or delivery; this is a source-based launch analysis, not a buying verdict.
